Seems to work pretty well as a heat proof mat. I wondered how it would perform. In the 1970s we used asbestos mats in chemistry classes. Bet that doesn't happen these days!
I haven't built a large fire yet and will
probably keep it relatively small. anyway. I'm sure it's been well tested. Great product.
This is an excellent device. I'm still learning how best to use it but that learning process is a lot of fun! It burns very cleanly producing minimal smoke. I would like to purchase the larger version at a future date.
The best fire pit, perfect for a small outdoor area. Not having to worry about dodging smoke makes for a much more pleasant time. Generates more heat than expected which is great!
Will for sure be upgrading to the bigger version once we move into a bigger house.
We purchased the Mini Wizard Fire Pit for our home after falling in love with our Regular Wizard but wanting something the used less wood for after dinner marshmallow roasting. We love it so much we convinced our Playcentre to get one too!
A great way for children to be exposed to and enjoy fire without sparks flying and smoke getting in their eyes. And very affordable as you only use a few sticks of kindling (sawn in half by the children at the carpentry table so they fit) per session.

Great little toy. Used a manuka branch I cut off a tree a few years ago. Chopped it into little bits and set it alight with a butane torch. Within 5 minutes we had a roaring tiny fire. No smoke and hardly any ash when finished. The stainless steel changed colour around the top to a neat bronzy shade. Can't wait for another excuse to fire it up.
We’ve used our new Wizard fire pit only once - for a big party. Groups of ten of so party goers came and went from around the fire pit. The fire was warm and cozy with all the ambience you hope for from a fire but with almost no smoke. Everyone loved it!!

I really love this product. It was actually bigger than expected and it was not smokey at all👍
If i had nickpick, i would have loved some side handles so it's easier to move after use when it's still hot. Would be nice If it came with some tongs and it is hard to find wood small enough to fit. It's a bit of a hassle having to break it to tiny pieces. Would be nice if i could buy ready made wood that would fit perfectly with it.

Bought this mini version as I wanted to see if it was all that was promised. We couldn't be happier. Used it every time we've had guests over and it's been a talking point every time. Completely smokeless and so mesmerizing to look at. We can take it camping and to the beach it's so compact. Comes with it's own bag. I bought the fire mat but on our glass table we set up a piece of wood and put the mat on top. We are looking at the bigger version for our new deck now.
We have a bigger Wizard fire pit and it’s fantastic but too big for the caravan so we purchased this little one Also fantastic ♥️
I unwrapped the fire pit and enjoyed an evening in front of it, and enjoying a dram and listening to music. Easy to light and easy to clean and so easy to pack up, perfect.
We’ve used this a couple times already and my husband absolutely loves it, it’s easy to use, clean and we love that we can have it on our deck.
Great little tabletop burner.
The only issue is it's so efficient you have to keep feeding it every five minutes.
If choked it's not smokeless.
The photos on this product page are not representative of the Wizard Mini that you will actually receive. The carrying handles, which allow you to move the fire-pit while it is hot, are not present on the actual product. The pit is far too hot to touch so you need to be sure it can stay for a while in the spot where you use it after the fire is done. The fire itself is good, but this was a test purchase to see if the Wizard products are of trustable quality and it has failed that test. If spending a lot of money on a big one I have to be sure it is exactly as advertised.
I reached out to Wizard after receiving my pit as it differed slightly from the picture online. Quick response times and another one sent out within 24 hours. Couldn't fault the service and love the wee pit - perfect for a table top to toast marshmallows and sit around with friends.
Bought this wee mat to go with my mini fire pit. It’s perfect, and now I’m happy to use my fire wizard on my wooden deck table!
